FARMINTON, Utah (Nov. 4, 2026) – After going 9-0 in the month of October, the Utah Tech volleyball program has been named Big Sky Conference Commissioner’s Team of the Month.
More impressively, the Trailblazers have won 16-consecutive matches and swept their previous five opponents. Their 16-match winning streak is currently the third-longest in the country, trailing only Nebraska (23) and Eastern Kentucky (17).
The last time Utah Tech dropped a match was September 6 against Loyola Marymount in Hawaii. Overall, they’re 19-3 on the season with a 9-0 record on their home floor.
The Trailblazers are currently four matches clear of the next closest team in the Big Sky volleyball standings, sitting at 12-0. Montana State, Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado are all 8-4.
This is Utah Tech’s first season in the Big Sky Conference, after securing a WAC regular season title last year.
Offensively, the Trailblazers are led by Nana Asiata, who has accumulated 223 kills this season for a 2.90 kills per set average. Tessa Treanor has also surpassed the 200-kill mark this season for UT, with 213 through 22 matches.
During October, Utah Tech earned three Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week honors, with Casidy Fried claiming the title twice and Annalyse Shimada earning the other.
The Trailblazers lead the Big Sky in both points per set (17.41), opponent hitting percentage (.150) and assists per set (12.22).
Utah Tech will put its perfect conference record on the line this weekend, as they’ll travel to Pocatello to take on Idaho State (Nov. 5) and Ogden to face Weber State (Nov. 7).
