FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 2, 2024) – After securing the program’s best start since 1987, the Idaho State women’s volleyball team has been named Big Sky Conference Commissioner’s Team of the Month for September.
The Bengals sit at 11-3, which is good enough for first place currently in the Big Sky Conference standings. This was aided by a 2-0 start to league play, where they took down Eastern Washington at home before upsetting Northern Colorado in Greeley 3-2.
In their past 10 contents, the Bengals are 9-1 and are riding a four-game winning streak. They finished non-conference play 5-1 on neutral courts and 3-1 in true away matches.
Marci Bell has been named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week twice so far this season. She’s been a massive part of a unit that currently leads Division I volleyball in blocks per set at 3.22 and total blocks with 177 on the season.
Idaho State continues its season this weekend at home, where they’ll play host to Montana State (Thursday, Oct. 3) and Montana (Saturday, Oct. 5) inside Reed Gym.
