FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 2, 2026) – After both programs went undefeated in August, the Eastern Washington University soccer and volleyball programs have earned a combined Big Sky Conference Commissioner’s Team of the Month title, the league office announced today.
EWU is the only school in the Big Sky to currently have a perfect record in both sports.
On the pitch, the Eagles are 5-0 and are outscoring their opponents 9-1 in those contests. They are the only Big Sky team this season that hasn’t recorded a loss.
Three of their five victories have come at home.
The soccer team will put their undefeated record to the test on Sunday, as they host Wyoming at EWU Soccer Field in Cheney.
On the court, the Eagles started the season 3-0 with a trio of victories at the Seattle U Tournament. They swept both North Dakota and Chicago State before taking down the tournament hosts 3-1.
The Eagles were led by Kalista Lukovich, who was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week. Across three matches, she totaled 52 kills, averaging 5.20 kills per set while hitting .357. She also contributed 23 digs and nine total blocks.
Eastern will be back on the court this Thursday, when they start competition in the Gonzaga Invitational.
This marks the first Team of the Month honor for EWU this calendar year. The Eagles last claimed one in July of 2025 when their women’s golf program posted the highest team GPA that season across all sports.
