FARMINGTON, Utah (February 28, 2023) – Following another weekend where he stuffed the stat sheet for the Wildcats, Weber State’s Dillon Jones has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
This is the final weekly award of the 2022-23 season.
Jones averaged 22 points, 11.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and shot 61 percent from the field in three games for Weber State. He scored at least 21 points in all three games and also had two double-doubles.
He scored 21 points with nine rebounds and five assists against league-leading Eastern Washington on Thursday. He had 21 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists in Saturday’s win over Idaho. He had 24 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists in Monday’s overtime win at Northern Arizona. He played all 45 minutes of the game and was 9-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-4 from the free throw line.
In the three games he was 24-of-39 for 61.5 percent shooting. He made five three-pointers and was 13-of-16 from the free throw line. He averaged 37.6 minutes per game in the three games. He has 19 double-doubles on the season, third-most of any player in the country.
He leads the Wildcats in points, rebounds, assists, and steals and led WSU in rebounding in all 18 Big Sky games.

The 2023 Big Sky Conference Basketball Championships will take place once again in Boise, Idaho, and run from March 4-8 at Idaho Central Arena.
