Double-Double Average Earns WSU’s Jones POTW

In three starts, Jones averaged 16.3 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game and 5.3 assists per game, racking up a pair of double-doubles

FARMINGTON, Utah (November 15, 2022) – After averaging a double-double and dishing out over five assists a game in his first three contests, Weber State’s Dillon Jones has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week the league office announced today.
 
This is his fourth career honor, after winning three during the 2021-22 campaign.
 
In three starts, Jones averaged 16.3 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game and 5.3 assists per game, racking up a pair of double-doubles.
 
He dished out a career-high eight assists against Washington to start the season, and secured a 20-point, 14-rebound contest against Colorado State last night.
 
Jones is currently second in the Big Sky in scoring, the top rebounder and is tied for the most assists.
 
Jones is a sophomore forward from Sunrise Christian Prep in Columbia, South Carolina. He was a member of the Preseason All-Conference Team, a two-time All-Big Sky honoree and the 2021 Big Sky Freshman of the Year.

The 2023 Big Sky Conference Basketball Championships will take place once again in Boise, Idaho, and run from March 4-8 at Idaho Central Arena.
