FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 14, 2026) – The
Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook has released its Big Sky Conference men’s basketball projections for the 2026-27 season, which as tabbed Montana State the favorites going into the upcoming campaign.
The Bobcats finished the 2025-26 season with an 18-14 overall record and went 12-6 in Big Sky play. They were the No. 2 seed in Starch Madness. The ‘Cats are set to retain 11 players from last year’s roster, an incredibly rare feat in this era of college basketball.
The publication also named an All-Conference Team, Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year. Northern Colorado’s Langston Reynolds, who is back with the program after spending time at Minnesota, was named Blue Ribbon’s Player of the Year.
The Bears were also tabbed second in Blue Ribbon’s projections.
