Massive Scoring Performances Earn UI’s Moffitt Weekly Honors

His 32 points against Montana State was a career-high, as he led the Vandals to their first Big Sky Conference victory of the season

FARMINGTON, Utah (January 17, 2023) – After averaging over 30 points per game against two of the league’s top contenders, Idaho’s Divant’e Moffitt has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Moffitt poured in 30.5 ppg against Eastern Washington (29 points) and Montana State (32 points), along with dishing out nine total assists and pulling down four rebounds.
 
His 32 points against Montana State was a career-high, as he led the Vandals to their first Big Sky Conference victory of the season.
 
He now has seven games this season scoring over 20 points.
 
Moffitt is a guard from Spanaway, Washington where he played for Spanaway Lake High School. The fifth year senior transferred to Idaho by way of Seattle Pacific, where he appeared in 94 games over four seasons.
