FARMINGTON, Utah (November 29, 2022) – The league’s leading scorer just had a stretch to remember for the Idaho Vandals, ending in Isaac Jones being named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Jones, who currently leads the league in scoring average (20.2), field goal percentage (76.1) and field goals made (51), led UI to a victory over Pacific with 31 points and seven rebounds.
Against Cal Poly and Pacific combined, Jones shot 73 percent from the field and averaged 25 ppg and 6.5 rebounds per game. He also had two assists, two steals and a block.
Jones also has the sixth-best field goal percentage in the NCAA at .761 percent.
He is a native of Spanaway, Washington, and transferred to Idaho by way of Wenatchee Valley College.
