FARMINGTON, Utah (February 7, 2023) – Following an impressive individual weekend, Portland State’s Cameron Parker has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Parker averaged 25.5 points, 8.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds as the Vikings split a pair of games.
He scored 22 points with six assists and four rebounds in a win over Idaho. Parker had a career-high 29 points, 10 assists and career-high five steals in a loss to Eastern Washington.
He shot 16-of-29 from the field and 18-of-21 at the line in the two games. Parker has led the Vikings in scoring in nine straight games and has four straight games of 20-plus points.
He also leads the Big Sky in assists (6.0) and the team in scoring (16.4).
Parker, who transferred from Montana, earned one Player of the Week award last season for the Griz after breaking the Big Sky record for single-game assists (20).
A native of Portland, Oregon, Parker played for both Sacred Heart and Montana during his collegiate career.
