FARMINGTON, Utah (Feb. 28, 2023) - For the ninth time in her career and the fifth time this season, Idaho's Beyonce Bea has been tabbed the final Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the 2022-23 season, the conference office announced on Tuesday

Beyonce Bea's impact on the court was vital this past week for Idaho as the senior helped lead the Vandals to two wins over Idaho State and Weber State and aided in a tough battle against Montana.
In three games, Bea recorded an extraordinary 96 points as she put up 27 against the Bengals, 29 against the Wildcats and finished out the season with a remarkable 40 point performance against the Lady Griz. The guard also added 30 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and two blocks to the week as well.
For the week, Bea averaged a double-double as the Vandal put up 32 ppg and 10 rpg. Bea's double-double performance against Montana gives her 11 double-double performances on the year and 26 in her career.
Bea finished the regular season as the Big Sky's leading scorer as she tallied up 669 points and averaged 23.1 points per game. In the NCAA, Bea is ranked fifth for total points this season as she is right above Louisiana State's Angel Reese. For points per game, Bea is ranked sixth in the nation as the senior topped Indiana's Mackenzie Holmes.
Bea and the Vandals will head to the Big Sky Women's Basketball Championship in Boise as the No. 6 seed and will take on the No. 3 seed Sacramento State on Monday, March 6th.
