FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 3, 2023) - For the third time this season, Idaho's Beyonce Bea has been selected as the Big Sky's Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Player of the Week - Beyonce Bea (Idaho)
Bea was an essential player for Idaho this past week as the senior forward helped lead the Vandals to a weekend sweep over both Montana schools, as Idaho opened up conference play with a 2-0 record.
The Vandal recorded a total of 52 points this week, as she stacked up 32 points against Montana and scored 20 points against defending champion Montana State. Bea also added 16 rebounds, seven blocked shots and four assists to the week as well.
Bea currently leads the conference in scoring the senior is averaging 22.8 ppg, which ranks the forward seventh in nation for points per game. With the 52 points added from this past week, Bea has a total of 297 points in 13 games so far this season.
