Kahlaijah Dean Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week

Dean and the Hornets are on a two game win streak after defeating Santa Clara and UC Santa Barbara

FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 22, 2022) - After a successful week for Sacramento State's Kahlaijah Dean, the senior guard was selected as the Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. 

Player of the Week - Kahlaijah Dean (Sacramento State)
Kahlaijah Dean was a key player for Sacramento State this past week as she helped the Hornets secure a win over UC Santa Barbara. Against the previously unbeaten Gauchos, Dean scored 27 points, dished out five assists, and grabbed three rebounds while shooting 11-of-20 (.550) from the field, including 4-of-7 from the three-point line. The guard currently leads the conference in scoring as Dean has recorded 68 points in only three games, giving her an average of 22.7 points per game.
