Beyonce Bea Named #BigSkyWBB Player of the Week

Idaho earns it's first back-to-back wins this season as they finish the week on a two game hot streak

FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 20, 2022) - After an outstanding week for Idaho's Beyonce Bea, the senior forward was selected as the Big Sky's Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Bea was a star player for Idaho this past week as she helped the Vandals secure their first back-to-back wins this season as they took down Denver and Grand Canyon. Bea recorded a total of 51 points this past week, which includes the 33 points the Vandal put up against Denver. The senior went 18-34 from the field and 15-19 from the free throw line, also tallying a total of 16 rebounds this week as well. 

Bea currently leads the league in scoring as she has recorded 232 points in only 10 games, giving her an average of 23.2 points per game. The senior is ranked seventh in the nation in the same statistic. 

She also recorded her 21st career double-double against the Lopes, giving her a total of six double-double performances this season. Bea is tied for eighth in the NCAA for double-double games so far this year.
