FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 17, 2023) - After a successful week for Eastern Washington's Jaydia Martin, the sophomore has been selected as the Big Sky's Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Player of the Week - Jaydia Martin (Eastern Washington)
Martin played a key role for Eastern Washington this past week as the sophomore guard/forward helped the Eagles to a 2-0 weekend as they secured wins against Idaho and Montana.
Martin finished the week with 49 points, which included her career-high of 33 points against Montana. The Eagle also added 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
With 253 points in 16 games, Martin is averaging 15.8 points per contest. Those numbers rank the sophomore sixth in the league in scoring. In conference-only games, Martin is averaging 19.2 points per game as her total of 115 points ranks her fourth in league in scoring.
