FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 10, 2023) - For the third time this season, Sacramento State's Kahlaijah Dean has been selected as the Big Sky's Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.
Player of the Week - Kahlaijah Dean (Sacramento State)
Dean was a key player for Sacramento State this past week as the senior guard helped lead the Hornets to their first ever 3-0 start in conference play as they earned wins against both Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Dean finished the week with 57 points, scoring an impressive 31 points against the Eagles and stacked up 26 against the Vandals. The guard also recorded 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the week as well.
The Hornet is currently second in the league in scoring as Dean has a total of 282 points on the season and is averaging 20.1 points per game. These statistics help rank Dean 20th in the nation in scoring.
