FARMINGTON, Utah (Apr. 17, 2024) – Idaho’s Joe Sykes has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week, the league office announced today.
This marks the final weekly men’s golf award from the Big Sky this season.
In The Battle of Idaho at Hillcrest Country Club, Sykes finished in a tie for first with a 6-over 219 (76, 72, 71) to help navigate the Vandals to a team victory over Idaho State.
Idaho and Boise State played on the Korn Ferry Tour setup at Hillcrest Country Club in less than ideal weather conditions.
This marks the first weekly award of the season for Sykes, and the fifth overall for the Idaho men’s golf program.
