FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 16, 2023) – Following another weekend of intense in-league action, the Big Sky Conference office has announced its Men’s Basketball Player of the Week award has been split between Montana State’s Robert Ford III and Northern Colorado’s Saint Thomas.
Ford III averaged 14.5 points per game and 12.0 rebounds per game, along with totaling seven assists and seven steals in a pair of victories over both Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado.
This marks Ford III’s first honor so far this season, but he’s the second Bobcat this season to earn the title after Tyler Patterson claimed the title following Week 3.
In a split, Saint Thomas averaged 32.0 ppg and 11.0 rpg, along with dishing out six assists. The 37 points he scored in an overtime victory at Montana is the Big Sky’s single-game high for the season to this point.
This is Thomas’ fourth Player of the Week honor this season so far.
Others Nominated: Zee Hamoda (SAC), Jorell Saterfield (PSU), Dischon Thomas (UM), Miguel Tomley (ISU), Quinn Denker (UI)
