FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 21, 2023) – For the second-consecutive week to open up the 2023-24 campaign, Weber State’s Dillon Jones has been named Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Through three games in the Atlantic Slam Tournament in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, Jones averaged 18.3 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game to earn All-Tournament honors.
In Weber State’s victory over Yale, Jones had 17 points, 15 rebounds and two assists while playing 40 minutes to help secure the victory.
His biggest scoring effort came against Gardner-Webb, where he had 24 points all while also pulling down 12 rebounds.
He continues to lead the NCAA in defensive rebounding at the Division I level, pulling down an average of 11.4 to this point of the year.
Jones is currently the Big Sky’s leading scorer (22.0 ppg) and is second in total rebounding (11.6 rpg). He has also secured 42 double-double performances during the course of his career at Weber State.
For Jones, this marks his 10
th career Player of the Week honor from the Big Sky Conference.
