Eastern Washington’s Kyman Named Men’s Basketball Player of the Week

Kyman paced the Eagles in their big road win over the Air Force Falcons on Saturday, scoring a career-high 25 points for the second consecutive game

FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 12, 2023) – After playing a crucial role in Eastern Washington’s victory over Air Force this past week, Eagle Jake Kyman has been named Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Kyman paced the Eagles in their big road win over the Air Force Falcons on Saturday, scoring a career-high 25 points for the second consecutive game.
 
The grad transfer sharpshooter shot 6-for-10 from the field and 4-for-6 from beyond the arc while converting 9-of-10 chances from the free throw line. He scored the Eags' final 10 points in the critical non-conference victory. He also added a pair of rebounds, a steal and a block that contributed to Eastern’s win.
 
Eastern boasts the second-toughest strength of schedule in the NCAA through eight games played according to KenPom.
 
The Eagles will play Portland Bible College this Wednesday before heading to Cal Poly for another important non-conference contest on Monday.
