MSU’s Patterson, UNC’s Thomas Split Weekly Hoops Honor

Patterson scored 20 points in back-to-back games to lead the Bobcats in a pair of home matchups

FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 28, 2023) – This week’s Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week title has been split between Montana State’s Tyler Patterson and Northern Colorado’s Saint Thomas, the league office announced today.
 
Both had impressive individual performances as their teams split contests for the week.
 
Patterson scored 20 points in back-to-back games to lead the Bobcats in a pair of home matchups, all while shooting 67 percent from the field.
 
He also averaged 5.5 rebounds per game, along with 1.5 assists per contest while playing all 80 minutes of action for MSU.
 
For UNC, Thomas averaged 20.5 ppg, while pulling down 7.5 rpg. Against Chicago State, Thomas had 22 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks.
 
The Bears were competing in the Cancun Challenge.
 
As a duo they have become the first non-Weber State players to claim the award this season, after Wildcat Dillon Jones took home the title back-to-back weeks to start the season.
