FARMINGTON, Utah (Apr. 11, 2024) – Finishing tied with each other at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, and leading their team to a victory, Sacramento State’s Caitlin Maurice and Sneha Sharan have been named Co-Women’s Golfer of the Week
Maurice and Sharan both carded 3-under performances, landing them in a tie for fourth place.
Sharan finished at 213 by going 72-70-71, while Maurice got there by shooting 67-73-73.
This marks Sharan’s third weekly honor this season, while it’s the first for Maurice, who is the defending Big Sky tournament champion.
The Hornets won the event at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club by shooting 4-under as a team, and carding an 860 (280, 289, 291). They outpaced second place Long Beach State by three strokes. The two teams that tied for third both shot 13-over.
The win was the third of the year for Sacramento State and gives the team eight tournament titles in the last two seasons.
