FARMINGTON, Utah (Aug. 20, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference office released the results of its Preseason Women’s Golf Coaches’ Poll today, which predict that the Sacramento State Hornets will claim their fourth-consecutive championship at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
The poll was voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Sac State has claimed three-straight titles, dating back to 2023, and have claimed five of the last six available trophies from the Big Sky Conference. Since 2020, the league’s Player of the Year has been from Sacramento State every season.
The Hornets received eight first-place votes from the league’s head coaches.
Northern Arizona was selected second in the poll and received two first-place votes. The Lumberjacks have been the only team recently to break up the Sacramento State dynasty, claiming the Big Sky title in 2022.
Montana State (63 points), Weber State (61 points) and Northern Colorado (45 points) round out the top-five going into the season.
Full results of the poll can be found below.
