Chin Highlights Golfer of the Week Honors After Bengals Win First Tournament in 26 Years

She’s the first Bengal since 2024 to earn Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah (Oct. 7, 2026) – The Big Sky Conference office has announced its most recent round of Golfer of the Week honors.
 
Women’s Golfer of the Week: Andrea Chin, Idaho State
 
Leading Idaho State to its first team title since 2000 has earned Bengal Andrea Chin Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week honors. Chin tied for fourth individually and paced ISU to a victory at the Bradley Coyote Creek Invitational. The Bengal shot 15-over at Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville, Illinois to pace Idaho State, which tied host Bradley atop the nine-team field at 929. The Bengals made up a three-stroke deficit in the final round to earn a share of the championship. She’s the first Bengal since 2024 to earn Big Sky Women’s Golfer of the Week.

Men’s Golfer of the Week: Carson Krauss, Eastern Washington
 
For the second time this season an Eastern Washington Eagle has earned Men’s Golfer of the Week honors, with Carson Krauss taking the title this time around. He battled a difficult field at the Oregon State Invitational this week but managed to earn a top-10 finish. Krauss posted a 5-over (208) score in the tournament, placing him in a tie for ninth individually. The Grant Pass, Ore. native improved each round, capped off by a 3-under performance in the final round. Overall, Krauss recorded 16 birdies in Corvallis.
