FARMINGTON, Utah (Feb. 29, 2024) – After securing her first career collegiate victory at the Causeway Invitational at Del Paso Country Club, Sacramento State’s Sneha Sharan has been named Big Sky Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Sharan shot a 1-over 217 (71, 75, 71) at the tournament, and won the individual medalist title via tiebreak. She finished tied for first but was awarded the medalist honor based on her third-round score. Sharan was extremely consistent in the tournament, finishing with nine birdies and 36 pars over her 54 holes. Her total score was the second lowest of her career.
The Hornets also won the Causeway Invitational as a team, shooting just 14-over as a team.
This is her second individual weekly honor of the season so far after sharing one with teammate Ella Kraft earlier in the campaign.
Sharan is a junior from Bangelore, India.
