NAU Sweeps #BigSkyTennis Weekly Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (March 1, 2023) - Northern Arizona swept the Big Sky Tennis Player of the Week honors, as Facundo Tumosa and Patrycia Niewiadomska won weekly awards from the conference office. 

Men's Tennis Player of the Week - Facundo Tumosa (Northern Arizona)
Northern Arizona's Facundo Tumosa won weekly honors after leading the Lumberjacks to their first conference victory at Portland State. Tumosa's went 2-0 through singles and doubles play on Monday, improving the Jacks to  8-1 overall with 15 matches left on schedule prior to the Big Sky tournament at the end of April.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Patrycia Niewiadomska (Northern Arizona)
Following a historic weekend for the Northern Arizona women's tennis team, which saw the Lumberjacks defeat No. 53 Colorado State, Patrycia Niewiadomska was named the Big Sky Women's Tennis Player of the Week. Niewiadomska was an integral part in each 4-3 victory last weekend, which saw NAU extend their home match win streak to 26 matches. Niewiadomska joins teammates Sofia Markova and Daryna Shoshyna who have won weekly honors for the Lumberjacks this season.
