Robbertse, Ferreros Win #BigSkyTennis Weekly Honors

Ferreros went 4-0 for Sacramento State to snag weekly honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (Feb. 15, 2023) - Idaho State's Wikus Robbertse and Sacramento State's Maddy Ferreros were named Big Sky Tennis Players of the Week as the pair posted impressive outings for their squads.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week - Wikus Robbertse (Idaho State)
Idaho State's Wikus Robbertse went 4-0 overall in Las Vegas over the weekend, while leading the Bengals to a 1-1 team record against UNLV and UC San Diego. Robbertse won a pair of singles matches at the No. 4 spot, defeating his UNLV opponent 2-6, 6-3, 4-3 and downing his UCSD matchup 6-3, 6-1. The South African scored a pair of doubles wins as well, with a 6-3 and 6-1 victory with partner Patrick Kristensen.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Maddy Ferreros (Sacramento State)
Sacramento State's Maddy Ferreros sported a 4-0 overall record this past week, while helping the Hornets split a pair of 4-3 decisions on the road against UC San Diego and UC Irvine. Ferreros won a pair of straight-set wins in singles play at the No. 2 position, while scoring two doubles wins with partner Alexis Johnson.
