ITA Regional Awards & Final Rankings Announced for Big Sky Tennis

Sac State's Sophie Breault was named Coach of the Year for the Northwest Region

FARMINGTON, Utah (June 9, 2026) – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced its Men's and Women's Regional Awards and Final Rankings to conclude the 2026 season, as the Big Sky Conference was well-represented in the annual release. 

Sacramento State led the way on the women's side with Sophie Breault winning ITA Coach of the Year honors for the Northwest Region. The honor for Breault marks the first time a Big Sky women's tennis coach has won an ITA Regional Coach of the Year award. 

The Idaho and Northern Arizona men's tennis teams earned Community Service Awards for the Mountain Region, which marked the first time for the Vandals and fifth-straight season overall for the Lumberjacks.

The Big Sky had three teams each for men's and women's tennis finish ranked in the Top 10 of their respective regions. Northern Arizona claimed the highest spot on the men's side at No. 6 in the Mountain Region, while Sacramento State's No. 6 ranking in the Northwest Region was the highest on the women's side. Individually, eight standouts earned final regional rankings on the men's side, while nine student-athletes finished the season ranked in their region on the women's side.
