FARMINGTON, Utah (Feb. 22, 2023) - After leading their teams to conference wins over the weekend, Sacramento State's Mark Keki and Idaho State's Lola O'Lideadha were named Big Sky Tennis Players of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Men's Tennis Player of the Week - Mark Keki (Sacramento State)
Sacramento State's Mark Keki led the Hornets to a 5-2 road win over Portland State to open Big Sky play, as the junior played at the No. 1 spot in doubles and singles play in both victories this past week. Keki earned a 6-3 win with partner Mate Voros in doubles, before downing his Viking foe in straight sets to improve his singles mark to 5-1 this season. Overall, the Hornets have won six of their last seven matches.
Women's Tennis Player of the Week - Lola O'Lideadha (Idaho State)
Idaho State's Lola O'Lideadha led the Bengals to their first win over Montana in five years, as her squad downed the Grizzlies 5-2 on Saturday. O'Lideadha played at the top spot in doubles and No. 2 in singles, as she picked up a 6-1 win with sister Sol O'Lideadha in doubles before winning a straight-set decision in singles play. Overall, the Bengals have won their last five matches and are 5-2 on the year.
