FARMINGTON, Utah (May 4, 2026) – The Big Sky Conference announced its Athlete of the Week honors, presented by
JAMBAR, with just outdoor track & field in action for regular season competition.
Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week (May 4, 2026)
Men's Track Athlete of the Week: Colby Jenks, Weber State (Fr., Big Piney, Wyo.)
Running the best 800-meter in 50 years at Weber State has earned Colby Jenks Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors. Jenks clocked an altitude converted 1:47.17 at the BYU Robison Invitational to rank third in the Big Sky this season, behind only a pair of All-Americans from Northern Arizona. For the Wildcats, his time was also a freshman record. He’s the first Weber State athlete to earn a Track Athlete of the Week award this season.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week: Kevin Swindler, Montana (Jr., Tigard, Ore.)
Setting the Big Sky standard for pole vault has earned Montana’s Kevin Swindler Men’s Field Athlete of the Week honors. With a clearance of 5.37m (17-7.25) at the Bengal Invitational, he took the Big Sky lead by nearly six inches. He’s the first Montana athlete this season to earn a Men’s Track or Field Athlete of the Week honor from the Big Sky.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week: Callie Wilson, Montana (Fr., Bonney Lake, Wash.)
Running the fastest 100-meter dash in the Big Sky so far this season has earned Montana’s Callie Wilson Women’s Track Athlete of the Week honors. Wilson ran an altitude adjusted 11.37 at the Bengal Invitational to sit on top of the Big Sky leaderboard. Additionally, she won the 200-meter at was part of UM’s school record 4x100-meter relay team. She is the first Grizzly to earn Track Athlete of the Week honors from the Big Sky this season.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: Sydney Brewster, Montana State (Jr., Sandy, Ore.)
For the fourth time this season, Montana State’s Sydney Brewster has been named Women’s Field Athlete of the Week by the Big Sky. Brewster earned a victory in the shot put at the Bengal Invitational on Saturday, recording a throw of 17.08m (56- 0.50) for her second-longest mark of the season. She also shattered the school record in the discus with a mark of 51.36m (168-6) taking home the victory in that event as well.
