Two Days of Competition Complete at 2026 Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Both the heptathlon and decathlon wrapped up on Thursday, with two sets of medals being awarded

GRESHAM, Ore. (May 14, 2026) – Two days of competition are in the books at Mt. Hood Community College, as the 2026 Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships are well underway.
 
The meet is being hosted by Portland State University.
 
Both the heptathlon and decathlon wrapped up on Thursday, with two sets of medals being awarded.
 
Idaho’s Hanna Tait won the women’s heptathlon with a final score of 5,206. That marked her second Big Sky heptathlon title, after also claiming it in 2024.
 
Idaho state’s Josie Settle and Sacramento State’s Merle Weber secured silver and bronze respectively.
 
On the men’s side, Idaho State’s Tom Stoelken claimed his second-consecutive decathlon title with a final score of 7,202.
 
He was followed by a pair of Weber State Wildcats, with Tyler Warnick and Brogan Garrett finishing in second and third respectively.
 
Competition will continue at 10 a.m. PT tomorrow, with a full meet program of action.
