Northern Arizona Claims 2026 Women’s Golf Crown; Montana State’s Seidl Wins Playoff to Earn Individual Title

Northern Arizona will go on to represent the Big Sky Conference at NCAA Regional competition

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (Apr. 22, 2026) – For the 10th time in program history, the Northern Arizona University women’s golf team claimed a Big Sky Championship on Wednesday afternoon at the Wigwam.
 
The Lumberjacks shot a 5-under 847 across all three rounds to finish five strokes ahead of the field. By doing so, they claimed their first conference team title since 2022.
 
The ‘Jacks were pushed all the way to the end by Northern Colorado, who finished in second place at even-par. That marked the best finish for the Bears since they won the title in 2012.
 
NAU was consistent, with two rounds of 2-under and one round at 1-under to secure the Big Sky’s top prize.
 
Northern Arizona will go on to represent the Big Sky Conference at NCAA Regional competition.
 
On the individual side, 54 holes wasn’t enough to decide the solo title, as Montana State’s Norah Seidl and Northern Arizona’s Lizzie Neale both finished play 5-under. On the first hole of a playoff, Seidl sank a monster birdie putt to secure the crown. She marks back-to-back Montana State Bobcats to win the Big Sky’s individual title, and the fourth in program history.
 
Seidl will represent the Big Sky individually at NCAA Regional competition.
 
NAU’s Frankie Dezis and UNC’s Olivia Salonek finished in a tie for third on the individual leaderboard. Weber State’s Sofia Fuenmayor and UNC’s Samantha Colombine finished tied for fifth and rounded out the Big Sky’s All-Tournament Team.
