Northern Arizona Leads Women’s Golf Championship After 18 Holes

NAU shot a 2-under 282 across the opening 18 holes to sit in first after Monday’s round.

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (Apr. 20, 2026) – Through 18 holes of competition at the 2026 Big Sky Conference Women’s Golf Championship the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona hold a two-stroke lead over the rest of the field at The Wigwam.
 
NAU shot a 2-under 282 across the opening 18 holes to sit in first after Monday’s round. Montana State and Northern Colorado find themselves in a tie for second after one round, as both teams shot an even par 284.
 
NAU, UNC and MSU will play together on Tuesday in the final wave of tee times.
 
Defending champion Sacramento State sits in fourth after 18 holes, shooting 3-over as a team to start competition.
 
Big Sky Freshman of the Year Sophia Lee led the Hornets, and the entire field on Monday, as she shot a 4-under 67 to surge to the top of the leaderboard. Montana State’s Norah Seidl and Northern Arizona’s Nina Lukyanenko are tied for second on the individual leaderboard at 3-under.
 
Sac State will play with Idaho State and Weber State on Tuesday, who sit fifth and sixth respectively.
 
36 holes of competition remain, with 18 to be played on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
 
Play will resume at The Wigwam on Tuesday morning at 6:30 a.m. PT.
