Big Sky Builds Stacked Roster in College Station for 2025 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships

NCAA West First Round competition came to a close today in College Station, Texas

FARMINGTON, Utah (May 31, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference will be well-represented in Eugene, Oregon in two weeks, as 16 individual student-athletes and one relay team across the league’s membership qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships.

NCAA West First Round competition came to a close today in College Station, Texas, after four intense days of competition where over 80 Big Sky athletes competed in a myriad of events.

These qualifying athletes will compete from June 11-14 at Hayward Field.

In total, six different universities will be representing the Big Sky in Eugene.

Out of the group of athletes, two qualified for a pair of events, meaning someone affiliated with the Big Sky will have 19 different chances at All-American status, or potentially a National Championship.

Northern Arizona led the way with nine individual student-athletes making their way to Oregon.

Montana State’s women's 4x400 team of Olivia Lewis, Peyton Garrison, Giulia Gandolfi, and Caroline Hawkes become the first relay in school history to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
