Well Over 500 Student-Athletes Named to Big Sky’s 2024-25 Winter All-Academic Team

FARMINGTON, Utah (April 30, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference office has released its 2024-25 Winter All-Academic Team, honoring over 500 student-athletes for their success in the classroom.

“Being competitive in your respective sport while also setting an impressive tone in the classroom is a challenging feat, and I’m very proud of each and every student-athlete that continues to check both of these boxes,” Commissioner Tom Wistrcill said. “Congratulations to all 546 student-athletes that have earned this recognition and thank you to our campus communities for creating an environment to make it all possible.”  
 
In total, 546 student-athletes were honored with 84 earning perfect 4.0 GPA’s.
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) Participated in at least half of the team’s competitions; 2) Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the most recently completed term; 3) Completed at least one academic term at his/her current Big Sky institution. 
 
For indoor track and field, student-athletes may participate in at least half of the team’s competitions or the conference championship.
