FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Mar. 1, 2025) – It was another sweep for the Lumberjacks inside the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome on Saturday, as Northern Arizona earned both the Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championship team titles handed out by the Big Sky Conference.
 
For NAU’s men, the victory marked the 13th consecutive season that they’ve earned a Big Sky Conference Championship, with this one coming on their home track for the first time since 2018.
 
Northern Arizona’s Drew Bosley was named Men’s Most Valuable Athlete for the meet after scoring 28 points. He won both the 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter, along with finishing second in the mile.
 
For the Lumberjack women, it was their fifth title in a row.
 
NAU’s LiNay Perry was named Women’s Most Valuable Athlete, scoring 22.5 points with victories in the 200-meter and 400-meter. Her time of 52.27 in the women’s 400 set a new Big Sky Conference All-Time record. She was also Most Outstanding Performer for her 400-meter time.  
 
More records were broken, even to start the day, as Eastern Washington’s Caitlin Simmons had a triple jump of 43’ 7” to take home the gold.
 
In the men’s pole vault, Colby Wilson broke his own Big Sky record with a clearance of 18’ 4.75”. This resulted in him being named Big Sky Most Outstanding Performer.
