FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 5, 2025) – Results of the Big Sky Conference 2025-26 Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Coaches’ Polls have been unveiled, and the Lumberjacks of Northern Arizona have been projected to sweep the league for a sixth-consecutive season.
These polls are voted on by the Big Sky’s head coaches, who are permitted to vote for their own teams.
Northern Arizona received nine first-place votes in both the men’s and women’s poll. On the men’s side, the Lumberjacks have claimed 13-straight Big Sky Conference Championships dating back to 2009. On the women’s side, Northern Arizona has claimed five-consecutive team titles dating back to 2020.
The Lumberjacks are now under the direction of Jarred Cornfield, who took over for Mike Smith this past summer and will be entering his first indoor campaign as head coach.
The Bobcats of Montana State were projected as the second-best team on both the men’s and women’s side.
In the men’s poll the Montana Grizzlies were picked third, while in the women’s poll the Sacramento State Hornets were projected in that slot.
In the men’s poll, the voting ended with a five-way tie for fourth place between Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Northern Colorado and Weber State.

This season’s Big Sky Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship meet will take place from February 26-28 in Pocatello, Idaho.
