Weekly Honors Announced for Dec. 23

FARMINGTON, Utah (Dec. 23, 2025) – The Big Sky Conference announced its Player of the Week honors, presented by JAMBAR, with  men’s basketball and women's basketball all in action. 
 
Big Sky Women's Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 23, 2025)
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week: Naomi White, Northern Arizona (G, R-Fr., Omaha, Neb.)
Naomi led NAU to a 2-0 week, as she tallied her second of back-to-back double-doubles against CSUN (27 points, 10 reb) against CSUN. This week, she averaged 22.5 ppg, 8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.5 steals on 40% from the field. Two of three wins for the jacks came on the road, one against the defending big west champion Tritons. 

The Lumbjeracks have now won three contests in a row, their longest win streak of the seaosn.

Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week (Dec. 23, 2025)
 
Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week: Kolton Mitchell, Idaho (G, RSo., Coeur d’Alene, Idaho)
Propelling the Vandals past Cal Poly on the road has earned Idaho’s Kolton Mitchell Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors. Mitchell dropped 31 points in the contest, including a go-ahead triple with seven seconds to play, to outlast the Mustangs in overtime. He also secured six rebounds, dished out two assists and had one steal. Through the 45 minutes of action he knocked down a total of six three-pointers. This is Mitchell’s second Player of the Week title from the Big Sky, after earning one on December 24, 2024. He joins teammate Isaiah Brickner as Vandals to earn the title this season.
 
Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week: Patrick McMahon, Montana State (G, RSr., Palmer, Alaska)
After matching his career high in a road victory against Cal Poly, Montana State’s Patrick McMahon has been named Co-Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. McMahon finished with 26 points and dished out five assists to push the Bobcats past the Mustangs. He shot 79 percent from the field (11-of-14) to secure the victory. This marks McMahon’s first Player of the Week title from the Big Sky Conference and is the first Bobcat to claim the title since Robert Ford III did in January of 2024.
