FARMINGTON, Utah (May 13, 2024) – After sweeping the Big Sky softball regular-season and tournament championships, Northern Colorado was tabbed for the Stillwater Regional as the Bears open postseason play for the NCAA Softball Tournament on Friday.
The Bears (27-24, 9-5 BSC) were selected to the Stillwater Regional alongside host and No. 5 national seed Oklahoma State, Kentucky and Michigan.
Kentucky and Michigan open the double-elimination regional at Cowgirl Stadium at 1 p.m. MT on Friday, followed by the contest between Northern Colorado and host-Oklahoma State at 3:30 p.m. MT. The Wildcat-Wolverine contest on Friday will air on ESPN2, while the Bears and Cowgirls will have their game stream on ESPN+.
The Bears, who make their second-straight trip to the NCAA Softball Tournament after winning last year's Big Sky tournament crown, won this season's tournament title in Pocatello after back-to-back, extra-inning games against Portland State which included a
10th-inning grand slam by Amailee Morales.
The Stillwater regional is one of 16 held across the country this weekend, each of which involves four teams. The schedule for the Stillwater regional:

Game 1 – 2 p.m. CT – Michigan vs. Kentucky (ESPN2)
Game 2 – 4:30 p.m. CT – Northern Colorado at No. 6 Oklahoma State (ESPN+)

Game 3 – Noon CT - Winner G1 vs. Winner G2
Game 4 – 2:30 p.m. CT - Loser G1 vs. Loser G2
Game 5 – 5 p.m. CT - Winner G4 vs. Loser G3
Sunday, May 19
Game 6 – Time TBD - Winner G3 vs. Winner G5
Game 7 – Time TBD - Winner G6 vs. Loser G6 (if necessary)
