2023-24 Women’s Golf All-Conference Team Unveiled; Sac State Places Four on First Team

Sacramento State’s Sneha Sharan was named Player of the Year for the 2023-24 campaign

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (Apr. 17, 2024) – Following the conclusion of the 2024 Championship at The Wigwam, the Big Sky Conference office revealed the results of its 2023-24 Women’s Golf All-Conference team.

The awards celebrate the regular season accomplishments of the competitors, and this year were decided by national rankings.

Sacramento State’s Sneha Sharan was named Player of the Year for the 2023-24 campaign.

A junior from Bangelore, India, she helped pace the Hornets to a trio of regular season titles, including the Big Sky’s 54 for IX event in the fall.

She is the fifth Hornet in a row to be named Player of the Year, with Jennifer Koga earning the previous three titles and Tess Blair winning in 2020.

Koga, who was named First Team All-Conference, earned that designation for the fourth time of her career. She becomes just the fourth player in Big Sky women’s golf history to be named First Team All-Big Sky four times, joining former teammate Tess Blair, Idaho’s Sophie Hausmann and Northern Arizona’s Sophia Choi.

The Hornets placed four players of the Big Sky’s All-Conference First Team with Ella Kraft and Caitlin Maurice also claiming the designation.

Northern Arizona’s Amy Hodgkins was named Freshman of the Year, following a strong performance through her first season in Flagstaff. This snapped a four-year run of Sac State earning the title for top first year player.

She was a First Team All-League performer, along with teammate Lizzie Neale.

Idaho’s Yvonne Vinceri rounded out the Big Sky’s First Team.
