Idaho State Sweeps #BigSkyVolleyball Player of the Week Honors

Jamie Streit and Emrie Satuala help Idaho State with undefeated weekend

FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 12, 2022) - After ending the weekend with a 3-0 record, Idaho State's Jamie Streit and Emrie Satuala swept the Big Sky Volleyball Player of the Week honors following successful performances across all three matches. 

Offensive Player of the Week - Jamie Streit (Idaho State)
Streit helped Idaho State sweep the CBU Classic in Riverside, California, defeating California Baptist, UC Riverside and previously undefeated Air Force. Streit finished the weekend with 47 kills, averaging 3.62 kills per set. The sophomore added 4 aces and finished with 52.5 points overall. Streit also had a strong weekend defensively with 45 digs, averaging 3.46 digs per set.

Defensive Player of the Week - Emrie Satuala (Idaho State)
Satuala was a key player for Idaho State this past weekend as had a total of 17 blocks over the three wins, averaging 1.31 blocks per set. The freshman ended the tournament with 32 kills, with an average hitting percentage of .358. Satuala is ranked in the Top 10 in the conference for blocks and is currently ranked third in the conference for overall hitting percentage.
