Clark, Sopoaga Win #BigSkyVB Player of the Week Honors

Asiah Sopoaga helped Idaho State earn a 2-1 record for the weekend, with an overall season record of 4-2

FARMINGTON, Utah (Sept. 5, 2022) - After a second action-packed weekend of Big Sky volleyball, the conference office has announced its second set of Player of the Week honors for the 2022 season as Montana's Paige Clark and Idaho State's Asiah Sopoaga earn the weekly awards. 

Offensive Player of the Week - Paige Clark (Montana)
Paige Clark and Montana went 2-1 in this weekend's Hampton Inn Invitational as they faced Drake, Saint Francis (PA) and IUPUI. Clark averaged 4.11 kills per set while sporting a .256 hitting percentage. The sophomore totaled more than one-third of Montana's kills on the weekend. Additionally, Clark is ranked third in the conference and in the top-50 in the nation for kills per set.

Defensive Player of the Week - Asiah Sopoaga (Idaho State)
Asiah Sopoaga helped Idaho State climb the conference leaderboard as the team went 2-1 this weekend at the Gonzaga Tournament with matches against Gonzaga, CSUN and Nevada. The sophomore had a total of 58 digs, averaging 4.83 per set and added three service aces for the tournament.
