FARMINGTON, Utah (May 9, 2022) – Weber State's RuthAnn Allen was named the 2022 Big Sky Women's Tennis Coach of the Year on Monday as voted on by the league's head coaches.
The honor for Allen marks the first time since Keith Cox in 2000 has won the award for Weber State and the ninth honor all-time.
Allen and the Wildcats earned a 14-9 record overall, while going 7-1 in league play to earn a share of the program's first regular-season crown in 22 years. The 14 wins overall in 2022 were also the most for the program since 2019's team won 16 matches. The Wildcats also advanced to the conference championship match for the second straight season, but were denied their first conference tournament title since 2000.
