FARMINGTON, Utah (April 18, 2022) – Northern Arizona's Abdihamid Nur claimed his second weekly honor of the 2022 outdoor season following his record-breaking 1500-meter run over the weekend, highlighting a talented group of Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week winners.
Men's Track Athlete of the Week – Abdihamid Nur (NAU)
Northern Arizona's Abdihamid Nur continued his stellar start to the outdoor season, as the sophomore broke the Big Sky and NAU record in the 1500-meter to win the Big Sky Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week. Nur ran a time of 3:36.33 in the 1500-meter, which ranks No. 1 in the region and No. 2 in the NCAA so far this season. The weekly honor for Nur is his second so far for the outdoor slate.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week – Colby Wilson (Montana State)
Montana State's Colby Wilson won Big Sky Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after the freshman's performance at the Beach Invitational this past Saturday. Wilson had a clearance of 17-07.25 (5.37m) in the pole vault that moved him into second place all-time in Bobcat history, while the height moved him into the Top 15 for the nation and first overall in the conference.

Montana State picked up its second honor of the week after Camila Noe's performance at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The sophomore ran a 15:52.02 in the 5000-meter, which broke the program's record that was set by Noe last season. The mark was six seconds faster than her record-setter from 2022 and 30 seconds faster than the next mark on Montana State's all-time Top 10 list for the event. Additionally, Noe's time ranks first in the conference and 16th in the nation.

Idaho's Hannah Ringel won Big Sky Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors following her impressive weekend in California. Ringel posted a 15.80m mark in the shot put, which places her first in the Big Sky and 54th in the nation.
