SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (April 18, 2022) – As play gets underway at the 2022 Big Sky Conference Championships at Talking Stick Golf Resort, the league office has announced the 2021-22 Big Sky Women’s Golf All-Conference Team and individual award winners.
For the second-consecutive season, Sacramento State’s Jennifer Koga has claimed the title of Big Sky Conference Player of the Year. Koga was the league’s MVP last season, along with being the Freshman of the Year.
Koga was joined on the All-Big Sky First Team by teammate Tess Blair, who was the league’s MVP for the 2019-20 season. In total, the Hornets placed five players on the All-Conference team.
Hornet Caitlin Maurice has been named the league’s Freshman of the Year, meaning Sacramento State has claimed the previous three Freshman of the Year titles and four of the previous five.
Rounding out the All-Big Sky First Team was Southern Utah’s Pluem Yongyuan, along with both Ekaterina Malakhova and Eliska Kocourkova from Northern Arizona.
