FARMINGTON, Utah (Nov. 7, 2022) - Hayden Hatten (Idaho), Michael Jackson (Portland State) and Blake Glessner (Montana State) were awarded weekly honors after their play this past Saturday, as the trio was named Big Sky Football Players of the Week, presented by Cloverdale Plumbing.
Offensive Player of the Week - Hayden Hatten (Idaho)
Idaho's Hayden Hatten won his first career Big Sky Football Offensive Player of the Week honor, after the wide receiver helped Idaho top Eastern Washington 48-16 on Saturday. Hatten caught 10 passes for 146 yards and four touchdowns, with all four scores coming in the first half. Hatten has caught seven touchdown passes in the last two games, with three coming in the second half against Sacramento State and four in the first half versus Eastern Washington. The Vandal wide receiver has 12 total touchdowns on the year, which is tied for the most in the FCS this season.
Defensive Player of the Week - Michael Jackson (Portland State)
In his first career start for Portland State, Michael Jackson had four tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a pass breakup to earn Big Sky Football Defensive Player of the Week honors. Jackson's two interceptions came in the fourth quarter, halting Northern Colorado drives of 47 and 39 yards, as the Vikings earned the 35-21 victory.
Special Teams Player of the Week - Blake Glessner (Montana State)
Blake Glessner won weekly honors for the second time of his career after going 2-of-2 on field goals, including a 24-yard, game-winner as time expired to give Montana State a 41-38 victory at Northern Arizona this past Saturday. Glessner was also 5-of-5 on PATs and had six kickoffs for an average of 61.0 yards and four touchbacks.
