NAU Tabbed to Win 2022 Big Sky Men's Tennis Title

Lumberjacks are favored once again to repeat as champions in men's tennis

FARMINGTON, Utah (Jan. 7, 2022) - For the fourth-straight season, Northern Arizona has been picked to win the Big Sky, as the 2022 Men's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll was released on Friday. The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.

NAU, who has won the last two Big Sky championships in men's tennis, finished 8-9 overall last season and 3-0 in league play. The Lumberjacks earned a pair of sweeps over Portland State and Idaho State on their way to another league championship last May in Phoneix, Arizona.

The Lumberjacks received 62 points in Friday's coaches poll, while earning six first-place votes. Sacramento State was selected second by the league's coaches with 54 points and three first-place votes. Montana was slotted third after earning 46 points from the league's coaches.
