Enrique Marin is a senior on the Idaho men’s golf team from Sotogrande, Cadiz, Spain. He earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2017 and First Team accolades in 2018. Marin is majoring in Business Finance at Idaho.
 
What’s the best thing about attending the University of Idaho?
I’d probably say the family I’ve created with my friends, coaches, and the staff. Also, all the competition we get to play. There’s been some amazing golf courses with tough competition.

What was a personal goal of yours heading into this season?
A personal goal was to become a leader for my team and to be an example for the freshmen and sophomores that just arrived. Overall, the goal is to become Big Sky Champions. Individually, I want win conference and play at regionals.

What’s your favorite thing about golf?
My favorite thing about golf is the competitiveness. I enjoy being competing and playing my best against the best.

You’re in your senior season. What has been one of your most memorable moments while at Idaho?
My most memorable moment was winning the Big Sky Championship my freshman year. Individually, shooting a 65 last year at Boulder Creek to finish third at the Big Sky Championships was nice.

What's the strongest part of your game?
The strongest part of my game would be my driving and my chipping.
