What was a personal goal of yours heading into this season?
A personal goal of mine was to try and play in ¾ of our events and then to play in our 1-2 spot. I wanted to solidify a spot traveling and leading the guys.

You’re in your junior season. What has been one of your most memorable moments while at Sacramento State? Honestly, so far one of the best memories I’ve had was being tied for the lead my first round ever at conference championships. I remember feeling really good freshman year at conference. We didn’t end up winning that year, but we won the next year, as we were so competitive. Winning the Big Sky Freshman of the Year honor was definitely something that’s not overlooked. I appreciated it. It would’ve been great to celebrate the honor with a team championship win.

What’s it like to attend school so close to home?
It’s really nice, because whenever I want to go home I can. I come from a really small town. It’s much different than Sacramento. When I want to get away for a little bit, its good to be able to drive home for the weekend and do that.

What's the strongest part of your game?
The strongest part of my game is the emotional balance I keep on the course. I never really get super high or low. I feel from an outside person who doesn’t know me, I would look the same no matter if I’m doing really well or if I’m struggling. It helps with my attitude towards every round, because it’s very rare that you will perform at a high level throughout every round each tournament. Also, when things may not be going great my emotional balance helps in being able to turn it around. Keeping a level attitude, staying balanced and trusting myself all help.
