FARMINGTON, Utah (June 1, 2026) – The Big Sky Conference office released the winners of its 2025-26 Men’s and Women’s All-Sports Trophies, which honored the Montana State Bobcats and Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, respectively.

For Montana State this marks the sixth time in school history that the Bobcats have earned the Men’s All-Sports Trophy, putting them fourth all-time behind Northern Arizona (19), Weber State (16) and former member Boise State (7).
The Bobcats found success across a multitude of sports in 2025-26, but specifically on the gridiron, where they won the 2025 FCS National Championship against Illinois State in overtime. The Bobcats concluded their season with a 14-2 record, including a perfect 8-0 record in Big Sky play, while winning each of their last 14 games to bring the national championship trophy back to Bozeman. Their Big Sky Championship also marked back-to-back titles for the Bobcats and was their third in the past four seasons.
On the hardwood, the Bobcats finished second in the Big Sky standings on the men’s side with a 12-6 record in league play. They also earned a second-place finish at the Indoor Track & Field Championships, along with a third-place finish at the Cross Country Championships which were held in Bozeman.
Montana finished as the runner-up, while Northern Arizona finished third in the Men’s All-Sports Trophy standings.
For Northern Arizona, this honor marks the 11
th All-Sports Trophy title on the women’s side, putting them two clear of Weber State who is in second place (9).
The Lumberjacks secured quite a bit of hardware during the 2025-26 season. They started their fall slate by winning the Cross Country Championships in Bozeman, before securing a regular season championship title in volleyball. With that title, the Lumberjacks will host the 2026 Big Sky Volleyball Championships in Flagstaff this upcoming November.
In February the Lumberjack women claimed the Big Sky Indoor Track & Field Championship team title and followed that up with a second-place finish at the Outdoor Championships this past month.
The Northern Arizona women’s golf team also secured a trophy for the ‘Jacks, winning the Big Sky Women’s Golf Championship at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
Montana State was the runner-up for the Women’s All-Sports Trophy, followed by Idaho in third.

The Men's All-Sports Trophy standings are determined by a formula that takes into account each school’s regular-season finish or conference tournament/championship result for all conference-sponsored sports the institution offers. Basketball, football and tennis awards points based on regular-season finishes, while points for track & field, cross country and golf are awarded based on conference tournament/championship results. Indoor and outdoor track & field points are averaged to create one score for track & field.
