FARMINGTON, Utah (March 30, 2026) – The Big Sky Conference announced its Player of the Week honors, presented by
JAMBAR, with men's tennis, women's tennis, men's golf, women’s golf, softball and outdoor track & field all in action.
Big Sky Softball Player of the Week (March 30, 2026)
Softball Co-Player of the Week: Alyssa Yee, Idaho State (OF, Sr., Torrance, Calif.)
Alyssa Yee was nearly unstoppable at the plate as Idaho State went 2-1 in its opening Big Sky Conference series against Weber State. The outfielder hit .750 for the series with a 1.583 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage, going 9-for-12 across three games. Yee collected four doubles and a grand slam among her nine hits, drove in nine runs, and did not strike out once in 12 at-bats.
Softball Co-Player of the Week: Grace Lopez, Montana (2B, So., Corona, Calif.)
Grace Lopez went 6 for 7 (.857) as Montana opened league play with a home sweep of Portland State. Lopez walked three times for a .900 on-base percentage, had three doubles and a home run for 12 total bases in seven at-bats, a 1.714 slugging percentage. Lopez scored seven runs in three games, while driving in three. Lopez is now batting .439 for the Griz on the season.

Big Sky Softball Pitcher of the Week (March 30, 2026)
Softball Pitcher of the Week: Carah Sweet, Montana (P, So., Pasco, Wash.)
Carah Sweet went 3-0 with a 0.82 ERA over 17.0 innings as Montana went 6-0 on the week with home sweeps of Seattle and Portland State. Her 17 innings of work were spread out over three starts, and four appearances. Sweet opened the series against Portland State with a 5-0 victory, Montana's first complete game shutout of a Division I opponent in more than two years. She tallied nine strikeouts on the week for the Griz.

Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week (March 30, 2026)
Men's Track Athlete of the Week: Josiah Johnson, Northern Arizona (So., El Paso, Texas)
Running the fastest 400-meter hurdles time in the nation so far this season, Northern Arizona’s Josiah Johnson has been named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week. Johnson clocked a 49.56 at the Carvel Jackson Memorial Track & Field Showcase to give the sophomore a .02 lead on anyone else in the NCAA. This marked a Northern Arizona school record as well.

Men's Field Athlete of the Week: Jamar Andrews, Jr., Sacramento State (Fr., Los Angeles, Calif.)
After setting the second-best men’s triple jump in the NCAA so far this season, Sacramento State’s Jamar Andrews Jr. has been named Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. The freshman had a leap of 16.18m (53-1) to secure the second-best triple jump in Sacramento State history. He’s currently only behind on athlete from Arizona State, who is also a freshman.

Women's Track Athlete of the Week: Tilde Bjerager, Montana State (So., Växjö, Sweden)
Making her outdoor debut for Montana State, Tilde Bjerager has been named Women’s Track Athlete of the Week. She broke the MSU school record in the 400-meter hurdles at the Al Manuel Invitational with an altitude-adjusted time of 57.79, which puts her No. 7 in the NCAA for the event currently.

Women's Field Athlete of the Week: Sydney Brewster, Montana State (Jr., Sandy, Ore.)
Continuing her indoor dominance in shot put, Montana State’s Sydney Brewster has been named Women’s Field Athlete of the Week. Brewster had a mark of 17.12m (56-2) at the Al Manuel Invitational, which is good enough to rank her sixth in the NCAA to this point of the season. She won the competition in Missoula by nearly seven feet.

Big Sky Men's Tennis Player of the Week (April 1, 2026)
Men's Tennis Player of the Week: Sep de Visser, Idaho State (So., Den Haag, Netherlands)
Idaho State's Sep de Visser led the Bengals to their first conference wins of the season, as they defeated both Portland State and Montana State by scores of 6-1. De Visser would go 4-0 overall on the week, winning a pair of matches in singles and doubles play for the Bengals, both at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. The conference weekly honor is the second of the season for de Visser.

Big Sky Women's Tennis Player of the Week (April 1 2026)
Women's Tennis Player of the Week: Patrycja Niewiadomska, Northern Arizona (Sr., Bielsko-Biala, Poland)
Northern Arizona's Patrycja Niewiadomska led the Lumberjacks to conference wins over Idaho State and Eastern Washington, improving their league record to 4-1 on the season. Niewiadomska went 4-0 overall on the week, winning a pair of matches in singles and doubles play for the Lumberjacks, with her singles wins coming at the No. 1 spot. The conference weekly honor is the second of the season for Niewiadomska and the fifth overall for her career at NAU.

Big Sky Women's Golfer of the Week (April 1, 2026)
Women's Golfer of the Week: Laura Caamaño, Idaho (So., Vigo, Spain)
Securing a top-10 finish at the Georgia State Invitational has earned Idaho’s Laura Caamaño Women’s Golfer of the Week honors. Caamaño shot 3-over to finish tied for seventh at Rivermont GC in Johns Creek, Georgia. She is the second Vandal to earn the title so far this season, as teammate Zoe Newell claimed it on September 25, 2025.
